ABOUT
I'm a certified flight instructor and aviation educator with a strong interest in how we best teach and develop the next generation of pilots. My goal is not simply to prepare students for the next written exam or checkride, but to develop thoughtful, capable pilots with a captain's mindset and a desire to keep learning.
Much of my work has centered on introducing young people to aviation and helping students make the transition from learning about airplanes in a classroom to operating them in the real world. As both a flight instructor and classroom educator, I've had the opportunity to provide instruction in multiple different contexts, and adapt to a range of different learning styles.
My path to aviation has been anything but conventional. Alongside flying and teaching, I've worked across clinical laboratories, medical research, and startup environments. Working in fields where precision, critical thinking, and good decision-making matter has made a significant impact on my individual approach to flight instructing and has taught me how to break down complex processes into simpler parts.
Whether a student wants to fly for fun or pursue a professional piloting career, I love working with students who care deeply about learning the 'why' throughout their training and are dedicated to becoming exceptional aviators.
